Pinterest - $5.00

Course Code - PIN

This  workshop introduces students to the website. Quoted on wikipedia as, "Pinterest CEO Ben Silbermann summarized the company as a "catalog of ideas," rather than as a social network, that inspires users to "go out and do that thing.".

Follow and/or be followed by other users with similar interests by viewing and creating pinboards. Very much like the corkboards of old where people tacked pictures, etc. and other people used that info or posted their own. Before we had pushpins we had thumbtacks but nobody liked the name tackyinterest and so Pinterest was born.

We will cover the basics from signing up, to finding topics of interest, to starting your own pinboards.

Basic web navigation skills will make this a much better experience. This not an intro to using the Internet workshop.
